I'm so excited! I received a big box of fun, shipped from the good folks at Ranger at the request of my buddy Claudine Hellmuth, the rock star of collage art. You know Claudine, right? The one who is not only super hip and cool, she's talented and just too cute. I mean, the long blond hair, the twinkly eyes...gheesh Claudine, give the rest of us a break, will ya? ANYWAY... hugs to you Claudine for my box of your wonderful, buttery new paints and the exciting new sticky back canvas.
There is all kinds of possibilities there, my mind was racing from A to Z thinking about it. Well, here is where I started - I've been wanting to paint birds on my walls for oh, about 3 years now. Keep in mind, I'm married to an engineer who has tolerated much over the years in way of my painterly whims, especially when it came to our house. Our old house had monkeys on the doorways and all kinds of things done at random. When we moved into our current house 3 years ago, he asked me, (very kindly) could we please keep this house "quieter", meaning of course, not quite so adorned . ok.
Here's a great solution-
with Claudine's new sticky back canvas, I can have my birds on my walls and even move them around! The tack on the canvas back is perfect for this application, it doesn't leave a mark when moved and it sticks perfectly to my painted walls. I'm thinking I could even print on it and use it for my trade show displays...hmm.
Thanks for the paint, Ranger and Claudine!

Tonight I was watching Paul McCartney ( I heart Paul) performing at the Round House in London. What an amazing talent that man is. Every song is a masterpiece. Talent, along with hard work should be rewarded with compensation, don't you think? Here's an excellent blog post about that. You'll see me along with other working professional artists quoted, each sharing our thoughts about how our businesses will suffer if the U.S. Orphan Works legislation passes and gets voted into law. Go read this please, it will help you understand our passion. People who are indifferent, are so, because they are not "image generators" as my friend said to me earlier. This is our livelihood here, we are emotional about this, we are passionate about this and we will continue to fight this horrible legislation. The world needs new art, not recycled art. The economy needs small businesses to stay in business.
Love the sticky canvas!

so glad you like it sista! Your paint is so enjoyable to work with, I forgot to mention the buttery feel to it, not too runny, not to thick, just right!
