Above is a minibook I made using some of my papers from the QVC paper packs. The diagram above is how to cut and score the 12" x 12" pages. Here are the instructions:

You will need:
8 pieces of single sided papers
1 double sided cardstock for cover
one yard of ribbon
hole punch
exacto knife
metal edged ruler, preferably with cork backing
bone folder
glue or sewing machine, your choice
optional: large holed needle for threading ribbon

Instructions: Download and enlarge the pattern above, taking it to a finished size of 12 " square. The solid lines are cutting lines, the dashed lines are for scoring.
Copy pattern onto your 12x12 papers, then cut and score according to pattern.
Large pieces fold in half, on score line, to create the "pocket pages". (signatures)
Layer three signatures on top of each other. Repeat so you now have two stacks of three each.
Make sure the open ends are all facing the same direction, upwards.
Clamp each group together and punch holes for ribbon, according to pattern.
Cut and score cover to fit. You may wish to make the cover a bit larger than book. In this illustration, I used an extra long piece of artist's drawing paper for the cover so it folds over an extra time.
Cut the ribbon in half and bind each side of the book by threading through and tieing a bow.
Sew or glue the ends of the pages together.
Trim the "tag" pieces according to the pattern so they will fit nicely into the pocket pages. Fold them on the score line and glue or sew together.
Decorate your book anyway you like...have fun and I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to post some finished projects in my blog gallery!

I'm liking this little book. I just might find time to try this.
