Quilt Market!

It's always so exciting to be leaving for a trade show and quilt market is certainly one of my absolutely favorites! The reason? COLOR. everywhere...Color! Beautiful, exciting , amazing color, put together by fabric/quilting artists from all over the world! 

I believe there is no group of people on this earth who are better colorists than quilters. They get it. The subtlety of gradations, the intensity of saturations, the varience of hues... makes this girl's heart swoon!

I'm so excited to  say that I have two new collections debuting this Quilt Market!! The first is of course, fabric! For those of you who have purchased my latest scrapbooking lines on HSN, the new fabric collection is the basis for it. 

And, TO TOP IT OFF... SIZZIX is releasing two new dies for quilting, featuring designs pulled from my fabric plus one more - my fun little sock monkey. I can't wait to see what Linda ( from Sizzix ) has created using this die! I'm finishing up a couple of sample projects for the SchoolHouse I'm teaching on Thursday and I'll have a give-away prize plus a free pattern for all attendeees.

Welcome 2012!

I know...it's been forever since I've posted here on this blog. I have a good excuse.

I've been busy,busy,busy,busy and crazy busy. 

Here's why- January Gift Mart-ATL is in two short weeks and that means new art is due. Also, CHA is not quite two weeks after that which means marketing materials, finishing up my section of The New Dynamics of Art Licensing Seminar materials, getting ready for a Designer Showcase - and if that's not enough, I decided to launch a brand new blog!!!

I'm on a mission- that is to help people be inspired by COLOR. Today is day two and my friend Sue Zipkin is the featured artist - her work is wonderful! Karen, Phyllis and I are presenting a seminar designed to deliver honest, first hand knowledge, tips, advice and insight. As an optional add-on, we are also offering a private, one on one consultation for portfolio viewing- yours and OURS! You will get to peek inside our "books" to see what our clients see and which art got the deals! We will look at your art, discuss what categories it might fit and give you honest advice about color, styling, themes, etc. This is a one time only opportunity at the low, low price we are offering.
