Brenda Pinnick Card Kit -projects

Recently, my card kit aired again on QVC and I have had several requests for a project guide or some type of instructions.

I've contacted the manufacturer and have the on-air samples being shipped, but in the mean time, I've put together a pdf document showing some different ways to assemble the cards. This kit is so easy to work with, there are numerous ways to build the cards using your own creativity and imagination. In these samples, I used only elements from the kit. I didn't add any of the rhinestones or brads yet...I'll leave it up to you to decide how and where on that. Yep, I needed that today, I'm making die lines for some new product and I just hate this part of designing. It's terribly tedious, I think I need some rock 'n roll to keep me goin. Like the Stones. or Supertramp.

Initially Yours

My new friend Caroline (in the UK) made this fabulous dimensional card using my "initially yours" chipboard kit. Wouldn't this card brighten the day of even the worst sourpuss? I mean really...how clever of you, Caroline! LOVE IT!!!!
This is the best part about creating product...seeing the wonderful, creative things people do with it. Thanks Caroline for sharing it with me. I'm GOBSMACKED! : )

Christmas cards

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday break and spending some quality time with family and friends. We've been very busy here at our house. Christmas dinner was wonderful and we have much to be thankful for as 2007 comes to a close. I managed to get a few cards made and sent in time for Christmas Eve delivery. WHEW! Here is one and you can view the rest in the photo album on the left.

Christmas/Holiday projects

Hi friends,
I saw a post today from Kitty in the UK who I've added to my blinks (blog-links) and here are a couple of pictures of a project she did for her Mother-in-law. How cute is this and what a good idea! I think I'm going to do the same for my own Mother-in-law. She'll love it! Kitty altered the paint can/tin using my Holiday QVC kit and in it she is putting a bunch of designed & crafted gift cards, also made from the same kit.

Recipe card tag (and QVC.UK)

I sure wish I had an answer to the emails I've recieved about when the big Holiday kit is going to air on QVC.UK!
It must be difficult for QVC to juggle all the wonderful products and manage the on air offerings. Sometimes things sell out quickly and then they have to fill in with something else, etc. etc.. I appreciate all the excitement and am anxious for my friends in the UK to finally get this big, (I mean BIG) kit.

In the mean time...Here is a project idea for sharing recipes. I made this with a basic, brown paper oversized tag shape as the base. I used a bit of sparkly gold pigment ink over the whole thing. Then, I used my new chipboard alphabet set, (coming soon) to spell out "my fav" because this is my favorite chile AND it fit nicely in the space!
and here is the back side, where I've divided the recipe into ingredients and directions.

Eveytime I make chili, my family says " ugghgh", accompanied by a facial expression that's somewhere between sad and an outright sneer. AND....everytime they've finishied eating it, they ALWAYS say, "Mom, that was the best chili you've ever made" EVERYTIME! and then they all have seconds. WHEN WILL THEY EVER LEARN???? I MAKE GOOD CHILI!

On a little note here, both my Mom and my husband's Mom were/are wonderful cooks. I mean WONDERFUL!
My children, when returning home from Marching Band Camp would start off the conversation talking about how good the food was. Sad but true.

Rooster Card project

Here is a fun little 10 minute project for you...
I've been working on cleaning my studio, (almost done) when I came across an old sketch I had in a box.
This silly little rooster was just calling out to me and I needed a break from all that cleaning!
