Brooke's perfect, feel better, coffee dunking, mother earth goodness, cookie!

"Brooke's feel better, coffee dunking, mother earth goodness,

I want to wear myprairie skirt,

warm your tummy and your heart HEALTH cookies"!

Makethese for the people YOU love!

1 cup. canola oil

1/2 cup blackstrap molasses,

11/2 cups light brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. Vanilla

1 tsp. baking soda a big pinch of salt

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

3 cups old fashioned oats

1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

1/2 tsp. each of allspice, cloves, and nutmeg

1 cup chopped dried apricots (unsulphered!) 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Combine wet ingredients, combine dry ingredients, mix them together and stirin the apricots and walnuts. Drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Let them cool about a minute, then put them on a cooling rack. Enjoy the chewy, dark, scrumptiousness (is that a word?) of these 'healthy' cookies!

Take care friends

Brenda hope that these cookies will help your recovery! Sound yummy but not idea where I get some of the ingredients or what we call them in the UK LOL!

Speedy recovery to you.

My Gosh... Brenda! Sorry to hear you're down. I have been wondering where you were! Feel better soon and milk the pampering for all it's worth!

Best wishes
Joyce

Hi Brenda...
I do hope your feeling much better soon!!!
Take Care:)
Love to you and yours....x

Thanks, all for the well wishes! I am recovering at record speed so my Dr. says! I feel really good and ready to "get back at it"!

Regarding U.K...Just you wait...I'm bringing some fantastic goodies in the fall, exact dates t.b.d. but it looks like it'll be November. I'm looking forward to coming over again!!!

Glad to hear you're on the mend Brenda, Oh and thank Brooke for the recipe just a shame I'm on a diet (again!!) or they would definately be in the oven NOW!.

Just had a hint from Nigel (i.e. Rosemary Merry OH from QVC U.K) that you're on your way over soon. Any heads up on what you'll be bringing..... (well if you don't ask you don't get!)

Hope you're on your feet soon, take care

Vik X

I am sorry to hear of your health situation, but it looks as if you are well on your way to a full recovery.

The love of friends and family can do a lot to help improve one's health. I went through a situation in my mid-twenties when the doctor told me I had cancer. He asked me whether I wanted to contact my family and I told him no. He did anyway.

My mother came out to California, I was attending University of Callifornia, Berkeley at the time, and she stayed by my side the whole time. I eventually got better and here I am today almost 50, wow the years do fly by.

Value your friends and family. I know sometimes they can be a pain, but they are there because they love you.

Thank you for sharing your story and your cookie recipe. The cookies sound delicious, I just wish I could cook. Never learned all these years. But my boyfriend can. I copied your recipe and I am going to ask Kirk to please bake some cookies. He loves to cook, so it won't be a problem.

Thanks for sharing....

sorry to hear that brenda--hope you're feeling well again soon! :)

Ms. Brenda

I hope you're on the mend and am sending get well wishes your way. Brooke sounds like a very nice young lady.

xoxo
Margot

The cookies sound mouth-smacking delicious. But I gave away my prairie skirts!

Enjoy the pampering - you deserve it!
