Studio storage tips and ideas

I struggle with organization as do many of my artist friends. So, I've put this area of my blog in place to post tips from experts, other artists and friends. I hope people will email me their organization solutions as they discover new ways to deal with this ongoing problem. After the contest, I'll move this onto it's own, ongoing page.

Here is a solution offered by Barbara Lanza. She uses a wall file unit turned on it's side for housing her watercolor palettes. How clever is that!?

My ribbon storage solution is to use scrap foam core cut into 2" x 10" strips to wrap ribbon around.
I use sewing pins with a nice big ball head to secure the ribbon ends at the sides of the foam core.

Love the ribbon idea. However, anything I leave open, the cats get into and have a great time. *sigh*
